I'll put that one on me blog,

Well one would assume that the manufacturer's wors would be accepted as valis...but this Montegue case seems to be setting a new standard in what the firearms administration accepts as defining evidence...seems only a fed gun bureaucracy forensic scientist can determining the real length of a 12(6) gun barrel which will make you liable to criminal charges....and apparently the new standard established in court is 1/8 MM...but of course that can change again as the absolute incrimental measuring indicator is still undefined.

It's getting to be one F-ed up country isn't it Doc?

By Garett Williams
Wednesday November 22, 2007

Bruce Montague’s criminal trial on weapons related offences continued Wednesday with expert testimony from the Centre of Forensic Sciences.

Crown witness John Paul Menard, senior forensic scientist at the centre in Toronto, tested more than 20 weapons recovered from the Montague home.

One by one he identified and described weapons he tested -- riffles, hand guns and a cross-bow -- and classified them as non-restricted, restricted or prohibited.

Several of the hand guns presented fell under the prohibited category, due to a short barrel, based on the Firearms Act, but were legal before 1998, with a licence.

One of the guns presented was an eighth of a millimetre short of the cut off. During cross-examination Menard agreed gun owners can find themselves holding prohibited firearms without even knowing it.

http://www.brucemontague.ca/html/0290.html

So you thought you had escaped the section 12(6) short barrel handgun ban because the sales slip you sent to the RCMP to register your hand gun has it being marginally longer than the illegal length....guess again....here is an under oath admission by the feds that ONLY a forensic expert at their crime lab can accurately determine the length of your hand gun barrel (not the manufacturer!) and if his methods determine it to be even and eighth or sixteenth or a one hundredth of a millimeter too long, you are a criminal baby!

With malicious administration and prosecutions like this is there really any reason to play ball with these ass holes and their vindictive criminalizing control systems?

Welcome to Cuba with snow.
